Night Owl Library waitlist widget

Late at night in a lamplit library, an owl in round glasses takes the returned books off the cart one by one and piles them into a leaning tower. The tower wobbles, the owl's eyes go wide, and it topples over to land as a neat row on the shelf. The owl straightens its glasses, satisfied, while the shelf pushes its oldest books into the returns slot and the cart fills up again. Look closely at the top book just before it falls: someone is reading it from the inside.
