Lighthouse waitlist widget

On a rocky island at night a striped lighthouse turns its lamp. The beam swings toward you in a soft flash, stretches out across the calm sea until the sail of a little waiting boat glows, then turns away behind the tower. A sleepy seal on the rocks wakes with each pass, follows the light, yawns and dozes off again, and the boat blinks its lantern back. Look halfway up the tower: the keeper reads by lamplight and turns a page once every sweep.
